Hotel Haber

Hotel Haber

I’m so tired but I know I won’t fall asleep early tonight. The past few weeks still run through my system like a million happy ants and it’s hard to stay still on my sofa. It’ll take a while to digest everything that happened but chewing moments like the last days tastes pretty damn good. Usually when I come home from a trip, the first thing I do is unpack my bags, but now that can wait. I will keep doing interviews from home until the end of the week so that means I’m somehow still on my promo trip and the laundry can wait. It's so cool to be on the road, but boy do I love to back at “Hotel Haber” too.

I had my doubts about how I’d feel being on the road in Central Europe again as I have some memories being exhausted doing this stuff in the past, but damn this was a fun ride. Yes, I can see my eyebags bigger than my cheeks on some of the videos on social media, but so what. Dear eye bags. You are the result of long and meaningful days.

I sat in the back of a car for 3050 Kilometers (!) the last 10 days. It’s more than the distance between this sofa in Helsinki and Madrid Spain. And I lost the count of interviews last week. I was looking out of the car window many times exiting a city or driving in the night on the highway thinking, what a lucky guy I am to experience all this. From morning until midnight they open me the door at the radio station or media building, give me coffee and then we talk about the songs I write and about the journey I’m on. This is a dream come true once again.

It feels like I’ve been living in a movie. You wake up and crawl out of bed at 08 Am, have quick breakfast and then you hit the road and talk so much that your jogger pants break ;) They actually did. I had so many nice moments with many new faces and some nice reunions too. Thank you drivers, promotion folks at Universal and above all my brother in arms Manager Mikko for being there with me. Having such a pro with me who is also one of my most important human beings in this world, makes all this so much better and safer. We’ve been through so much. And we’ll see so much more as the journey really starts. We have separate rooms at hotels, but other than that we’re like a couple who’s been together for so long that we know from one eyebrow movement how things are. Mikko must miss my amazing “Arschkrokodil” jokes so much now that he's back to his family for a few days… I'll be back ;)

Now that I’ve been more active on social media, it seems like the scammers are out there using my name again and they’re even louder than before. Remember that @hapahaber is and will be my only Instagram account and if someone approaches you as my manager or something asking for money, it’s always all fake.

Now I’ll do more interviews for the rest of the week. Then I’ll hit the studio with my four different producers and focus on making the album ready for the autumn. I must say I’m so in love with the songs I already have and it somehow feels like I’m doing this for the first time ever. Then if it looks good in the near future, I’ll lock the date for the album for September-October and then we can start looking at the tour well before Christmas. It seems like it’s gonna work out, but like we say in Finland, better keep the tongue in the middle of your mouth for a few more weeks.

People. Thank you all for living along once again, thank you so much. Hand on my heart, your messages never touched me as much as they do now. There is something so magical in your words and how you are. I have a feeling this will be one beautiful ride we have ahead of us. How long and how big, who cares. As long as it feels like this, every day feels like miracle. It feels like I could run through brick walls even though my eyes are wet from time to time from being so happy. I don’t know what I have done right to deserve this wonderful wave taking me forward. But I’m very happy to ride it as far as it goes.

See you all very soon. Still yours,
